Gosh, where could that be?! April, 2003

This photo was shot in Edinburgh, to be precise, on the German Weihnachtsmarkt which was part of the famous Edinburgh christmas market. It says "Frankfurter Weihnachtsmarkt" on the mug. Miss Dynamite and Culture Club performed on stage that night during the very busy Royal Bank Street Party which takes place every New Year's Eve (aka Hogmanay) on Princess Street. Almost half the population of New Zealand and Australia was present. December, 2002

Looking a bit surprised while enjoying a break from driving an itty-bitty Citroen Saxo on Santorini, Greece. It had air conditioning though. The island is almost as tiny as our rental car was, and it's ideal for spending a relaxed week enjoying beautiful architecture, having excellent seafood and overdosing on almost perfect sunsets. Taken in the À La Morte Subite in Brussels. One of Belgium's many beers was named after this famous café which offers about a gazillion different types of beer. If I recall correctly, the beverage I'm drinking in the photo is either regular Duvel or Hoegaarden Wit. The trip to Brussels was the best birthday present ever. ;-) September, 2002

A couple of photos from a wonderful trip to London. Yes, these feature Yet Another Pair of Sunglasses, the usual tourist motifs (Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace) and two not so usual motifs in the city of Westminster, just next to the Abbey. June, 2001

At the end of February, 2000, we went skiing in Val Thorens, France. From the left to the right: Conny, Andrea, Uschka, Sören, Urzula (Christian was taking the photo, Gesa was shooting down the slopes) and myself, standing on those fantastic skis that Stefan was kind enough to lend me (as well as the sticks, boots, trousers and gloves, thanks a lot!).

Featuring cool sunglasses as well as contacts (and big hair), I'm just about to eat some spare ribs at the tailgate party of the inaugural game of the University of South Florida's football team (The Bulls crushed Kentucky Wesleyan with 80-3, Go Bulls!). Tailgating took place at Legends Field in Tampa (on September 8th, 1997), the training stadium of the New York Yankees.

This one was shot at a New Year's Eve party on December 31st (surprise), 1996, somewhere in the south of Münster.
